Originally launched in 1985, the Z series was the first totally new design in cymbals to be created from the Zildjian
alloy in over 3 centuries. Zildjian has improved it's Z series cymbals, incorporating their latest computer hammering
techniques and "custom" manufacturing processes to create Z Custom cymbals with MORE VOLUME,
brilliance and cutting power. Reworked in 2000 to a slightly thinner weight to give these cymbals a more versatile, flexible and responsive cymbal. Radical new design and look.

These cymbals are created by Zildjian from discs of high quality alloy, incorporating the most advanced manufacturing
techniques. All sheet-bronze cymbals are totally consistent in sound within their model specification. They have a very fast
response, higher pitch and a bright highly polished finish.
